The independent winemaker Shuzhen Zhou has decades of experience in winemaking. Besides Legacy Peak Estate, she also makes wines for Fei Tswei, Kanaan Winery and Jade Vineyard. Additionally, she is the consultant of many different estates of Ningxia. All these majestic opuses made by this legendary winemaker have a same theme--the breathtaking exquisiteness that typifies her winemaking style.

As one of the four oldest vineyards of the region (other 23 years old vines can be found in Xige Estate, Domaine Helan Mountain and Chateau Chanson), the domaine has been the source of the fruits for a couple of fine wine producers for a long while.

Legacy Peak Estate Chi Yu Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 was fragrantly floral on the dense yet balanced and complete smell. The minty freshness repeated on the mouthfeel that was beautifully textured, cleanly fruited and firmly structured. As the only blend of the estate, the flagship Kalavinka Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot is a fixed assemblage of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot. Aging in 30% new French oak barrels for 18 months. Austere and exquisite Legacy Peak Estate Kalavinka Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot 2016 exhibited elegance, fragrance and florality in its taste. 2017 is a truly monumental vintage for Legacy Peak Estate. The quality of Kalavinka has become remarkable and stable since the 2015. Maturing in entirely new French oak barrels for 22 months, the super flagship Family Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon is a straight Cabernet Sauvignon and is produced in around 3000 bottles per year. Legacy Peak Estate Family Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 was aerated in bottle for three hours. A majestic opus of completeness and balance, but its theme was still the breathtaking exquisiteness as the signature of Shuzhen Zhou's winemaking style. It would age effortlessly for 25-30 years.
